Why didn't my Depop or Vinted publish start?

Diagnose extension-based publish attempts that never begin on Depop or Vinted.

This applies when Dropstitch is ready to publish, but the marketplace handoff does not start or stalls immediately.

Work through these checks

  • Open Activity Feed first. Go to the main menu, open Activity Feed, and review the relevant marketplace listing row.

  • Try Force Queue. In Activity Feed, click Force Queue and choose Force Vinted, Force Depop, or Force All. This can restart a stuck marketplace queue and check whether you are still logged in.

  • Is Chrome open with the Dropstitch extension installed and enabled? Depop and Vinted depend on the extension flow. If Chrome is closed or the extension is disabled, publish will not start.

  • Are you still logged into the marketplace account in Chrome? Re-authenticate if the session expired, then retry the publish action.

  • Does the marketplace show disconnected in Dropstitch? Reconnect it from Set up Marketplaces & Cross-listing before retrying.

  • Is the marketplace account fully ready for selling? If the account is brand new or incomplete, finish the marketplace setup and any required manual listing history first.

  • For Vinted: is this still an early session-warm-up window? If Vinted keeps forcing re-logins, follow Build a trusted Vinted browser session for reliable Dropstitch publishing and keep tests small until the session stabilizes.

  • Does all of the above still fail? As a last resort, try listing the product manually on Vinted or Depop. That can reveal a marketplace-side restriction such as a captcha, two-factor prompt, or account-verification hold that Dropstitch cannot clear for you.

If it still does not start

  • Retry with one item only, not a full batch.

  • Take a short screen recording from the moment you click publish until it stops or errors.

  • Take a screenshot of the relevant Activity Feed row too.

  • Send support the marketplace name, the Product ID for one failed item, and a screenshot of any visible error.

Success check

  • The marketplace handoff starts normally after you trigger publish.

  • The item begins moving through the marketplace publish flow instead of stopping before launch.
