πŸ›’ Marketplaces & Cross-listing

Learn how to integrate marketplaces, manage platform-specific attributes, and automatically cross-list your inventory using Dropstitch.

Updated this week

πŸ“˜ Overview

Dropstitch allows you to manage your inventory across multiple sales channels simultaneously. There are two different types of marketplace integrations within the platform:

  • App Integrations: Marketplaces that connect directly via an API or App installation (e.g., Shopify).

  • Extension Integrations: Marketplaces that require the Dropstitch Chrome Extension to function (e.g., Depop, Vinted).

πŸ”— Connecting a Marketplace

To begin, navigate to the Marketplaces tab in the sidebar menu.

Connecting Shopify (App Integration)

  1. Select Shopify from the Marketplaces menu.

  2. Follow the prompts to install the Dropstitch App on your Shopify store.

  3. Once authenticated, your store will connect automatically.

Connecting Depop or Vinted (Extension Integration)

  1. Select the desired marketplace (e.g., Depop) from the menu.

  2. Click Install Extension to be directed to the Chrome Web Store.

  3. Add the Dropstitch extension to your browser.

  4. Once installed and signed in, return to Dropstitch and click Add [Marketplace] Integration.

  5. Configure Settings: You will be prompted to set default preferences, such as:

    • Domestic Shipping Price

    • International Shipping toggles

    • Shop Currency

Each Marketplace will have their own set of options and settings.

🏷️ Marketplace Attributes

Once a marketplace is installed, Dropstitch automatically adds marketplace-specific Attributes (columns) to your main product grid.

  • AI Auto-fill: Dropstitch AI will attempt to fill in most of these details (e.g., Style, Occasion, Color) automatically.

  • Mandatory Fields: Some marketplaces require specific fields to be filled before listing (e.g., Depop requires a "Condition" field).

  • Editing: You can click into any cell within the grid to manually add, change, or remove tags and attributes.

Tip: In your Marketplace Settings, you can set default values (such as a default "Condition") to save time on manual entry.

πŸ›  How to Cross-list Products

When your products are ready in the List view:

  1. Select the products you wish to list (or select all).

  2. Click the Bulk List button.

  3. A window will appear showing your connected platforms. By default, all active platforms are selected. You can uncheck any you do not wish to list to.

  4. Click Continue with [x] products.

  5. The system will begin listing your items to the selected channels.

πŸ“¦ Managing Inventory in the Stockroom

Once items are listed, they move to the Stockroom. Here you can view the live status of your products across all channels.

Checking Status

Icons representing each marketplace will appear next to your products.

  • Colored Icon: The product is active on this channel.

  • Grey/Faded Icon: The product is not listed on this channel.

Removing Products

To remove an item from a specific marketplace while keeping it on others:

  1. Right-click the product in the Stockroom.

  2. Select Delete product on [Marketplace Name].

  3. Alternatively, you can choose Delete on All Platforms to remove it entirely.

πŸ”„ Inventory Synchronization & Auto-Delisting

When a product sells on one platform, Dropstitch will automatically remove (delist) it from all other connected platforms to prevent double-selling.

Important: For extension-based marketplaces (like Depop or Vinted), your computer must be on and the Chrome browser with the extension must be running for inventory synchronization and auto-delisting to work.
