Continue queued Vinted and Depop listings on desktop after using the Dropstitch mobile app

Understand how Vinted and Depop listings queued from the mobile app are completed by the desktop Chrome extension.

The Dropstitch mobile app can publish directly to Shopify and eBay. Vinted and Depop work differently because they rely on the Dropstitch Chrome extension.

Before you start

How it works

Shopify and eBay use direct app or API-style connections, so the mobile app can publish to those channels directly.

Vinted and Depop are extension-based.

The mobile app can submit the listing request, but the actual marketplace action still needs a desktop Chrome session with the Dropstitch extension installed and the marketplace logged in.

If desktop Chrome is closed, inactive, logged out, or missing the extension, the Vinted or Depop action can wait in the queue until the desktop session is ready again.

Use Activity Feed to see whether the action is running, waiting, blocked, or completed. Use Stockroom to check product-level marketplace status after the action runs.

How to use it

  1. Submit the Vinted or Depop listing from the Dropstitch mobile app.

  2. Open desktop Chrome on the computer that has the Dropstitch extension installed.

  3. Confirm you are logged into the correct Vinted or Depop account in Chrome.

  4. Open Dropstitch on desktop if you want to monitor the queue.

  5. Open Activity Feed and check the relevant listing action.

  6. Re-authenticate the marketplace if Dropstitch asks for it.

  7. Let the queue finish before retrying the same product.

  8. Open Stockroom and confirm the marketplace icon or live status when the action completes.

Success check

  • The queued Vinted or Depop action starts once desktop Chrome is open and authenticated.

  • Activity Feed no longer shows the action as waiting or blocked.

  • The product shows the expected Vinted or Depop status in Stockroom.

  • The listing appears on the marketplace after the extension action completes.

Tips

  • Treat the mobile app as the place where you can submit the listing, and desktop Chrome as the execution layer for Vinted and Depop.

  • Keep one reliable desktop Chrome session available if your team lists to Vinted or Depop from mobile during the day.

  • Do not submit the same product repeatedly while a queued action is still waiting. Check Activity Feed first.

  • For Vinted, keep tests small during the first setup days until the browser session is stable.

Advanced settings

  • Best team pattern: one person can capture, edit, and submit listings from iPhone while one desktop Chrome session handles Vinted and Depop extension actions.

  • This is useful for small teams because mobile work can continue even when extension-based channels need desktop execution.

  • Shopify and eBay do not need this desktop queue step when their direct connections are valid.

Troubleshooting

  • The queued action does not start: open desktop Chrome, confirm the extension is installed and enabled, and make sure the marketplace account is still logged in.

  • The product still says processing: open Activity Feed first and confirm whether the action is waiting, blocked, or still running.

  • The marketplace asks for login again: re-authenticate that marketplace in Chrome, then let the queue continue.

  • The listing is delayed after the queue runs: short delays can be normal on extension-based channels. See When listings appear on Vinted and Depop after publishing.

Value reflection

Without queue behavior, mobile listing to extension-based channels would stop the moment your phone could not perform the browser action itself.

Dropstitch lets you submit Vinted and Depop listings from mobile while desktop Chrome completes the required extension work.

That keeps phone-based listing flexible without hiding the browser-session dependency those marketplaces still require.
