This applies when generated output looks valid, but it is clearly coming from the wrong title or description template.
Work through these checks
Do multiple templates match the same product? Overlapping targeting rules are the most common cause. Simplify or narrow the conditions so only one intended template wins.
Is the product actually in the category or condition the template expects? If the item data does not match the rule logic, Dropstitch will apply a different template than you expected.
Are you checking the correct marketplace-targeted template? If templates differ by channel, confirm the output you are reviewing belongs to the marketplace that template was built for.
Did you add too many exceptions too quickly? Reset to one default title template and one default description template, then add targeted exceptions one by one until the mismatch is gone.
Success check
The product now resolves to the intended template.
Generated output matches the template logic you expected for that product and marketplace.
