Why doesn't background removal look right?

Diagnose background-removal results that look unchanged, too aggressive, or unexpectedly transparent.

This applies when background editing runs, but the visual result is not what you expected.

Work through these checks

  • Was background removal enabled before the upload? New results only reflect the setting if Remove Background was turned on before that upload or processing run.

  • Did you leave color and background image off? If background removal is on but no color or background image is selected, the output background becomes transparent by design.

  • Are advanced settings pushing the image too hard? If the result looks aggressive, reduce relighting and padding and test again on one item.

  • Is the image a close-up detail shot instead of a clean main image? Detail images can be over-removed more easily. Keep automatic editing on position 1 first, then review later images manually.

Success check

  • The edited result matches the background style you intended.

  • New uploads no longer show the same unwanted removal behavior.
