Why is Shopify still disconnected after install?

Fix Shopify connections that still show as disconnected after the app install flow.

This applies when the install step appears to finish, but Dropstitch does not stay connected to Shopify.

Work through these checks

  • Did you use the exact your-store.myshopify.com domain? The most common cause is using the storefront domain instead of the Shopify admin domain.

  • Are the app URL, redirect URL, and scopes configured exactly as required? If any of those values are wrong, Shopify can complete the install step without giving Dropstitch a working connection.

  • Was the app actually released before install? If Shopify still treats the app as unreleased or incomplete, the connection can fail after the install flow.

  • Do Shopify actions fail even though install looked successful? Recheck the required scopes in Connect Dropstitch to Shopify, then reconnect cleanly.

Success check

  • Shopify shows as connected in Dropstitch.

  • Shopify-linked actions work after install instead of failing immediately.
