This applies when a field looks set up in Dropstitch, but the title or description output still skips it. It can also happen when AI instructions conflict with the attribute setup or when the setup has too many overlapping attributes for the model to resolve cleanly.
Work through these checks
Is the grid value actually filled on that product? Open the product row and confirm the field has a value. If the cell is empty, the template has nothing to output.
Are you using the exact
@attribute_namein Templates? The placeholder has to match the attribute name exactly. If the attribute was renamed or the placeholder was typed differently, output stays blank even when the grid value exists. Is AI leaving the field empty by design? In Set up Attributes in Dropstitch, check whether Require AI output is off. If it is off, AI can leave the field blank and Dropstitch will skip that placeholder.
Do the AI instructions match the attribute setup? If you have several overlapping custom or system attributes, or the instructions contradict the field type or purpose, simplify the setup and rewrite the instructions so the model gets one clear job.
Is the output you are checking older than the latest field change? Regenerate or refresh the product output after updating the field so you are checking the current result, not an older version.
Success check
The attribute value is visible in the product grid.
The same value appears in generated output after you rerun or refresh the product output.
