✂️ Image Editing Settings in Dropstitch
Dropstitch automatically applies image edits to every product you upload based on your saved settings.
1. Background Removal
You have two main options for background processing:
1. Basic Background Removal
Automatically removes the background and replaces it with a solid color.
Remove Background: Toggle on/off.
Background Color: Select the specific color (e.g., use the hex code #CDCDCD for light gray).
2. Advanced Background Removal
Enables customizable features like shadows, relighting, and padding for enhanced product images.

Detail Images (Image Tiling)
Dropstitch can auto-generate multiple detail shots from your main product image.
Enable Image Tiling: Toggle this setting on.
Crop Positions: Select up to nine zones (e.g., Top Left, Center, Bottom Right). Dropstitch will automatically crop and save these as extra detail images for the product.
🚀 How Edits are Applied
Once enabled, image edits (including background removal and tiling) are automatically applied when you upload products in the Organizer.
Products processed with background removal will show a badge.
All chosen Detail Image crops will be generated and available in the Image Editor.
Reverting Edits
You can easily revert any image back to its original state:
Click the product thumbnail (or the image in the Product Buffer/Listing Grid).
In the Image Editor, click Restore Background and confirm.

❓FAQ
Can I apply image settings to just some products?
→ No, settings apply globally. To avoid charges, disable image editing before uploading if you don’t want it applied.
Can I still remove backgrounds manually?
→ Yes. If auto background removal is off, you can manually remove backgrounds in the Product Buffer per image.
Are image edits reversible?
→ Yes you can swap between the edited and the original on the fly by clicking the option on the image in the product buffer. If you want to reprocess an image, you’ll need to delete and reupload it.
Only the background of the first image is removed?
→ This is by design as for close-up images the fabric might be mistaken for a background and removed accidentally. You can manually remove backgrounds in the Product Buffer per image.
